On popular benchmarking tool Geekbench, the new 15-inch MacBook Pro posted a 9% improvement in single-core scores and a whopping 29% increase in multi-core scores. A quick summary of their scores below:

Geekbench Scores
Benchmark Single-core Multi-core
2019 8-core MBP 5879 29184
2018 6-core MBP 5348 22620

The top-of-the-line 15-inch MacBook Pro of 2019 features an 8-core Core i9-9880HK processor that ramps up to 5GHz. Last year's flagship model, on the other hand, features a 6-core Core i9-8950HK processor that goes up to 4.1GHz.
