Another year, another price hike.
Netflix is raising the price of its subscription plans in Singapore again. Depending on which plan you’re subscribed to, you could see a $1 to $2 bump in monthly payments. These new prices will be rolled out to existing subscribers over the next few weeks, but all new subscribers will have to pay the new prices immediately.
Here’s a breakdown of the new pricing for each subscription plan:
- Basic: S$12.98 (previously S$11.98)
- Standard: S$17.48 (previously S$15.98)
- Premium: S$21.98 (previously S$19.98)
The Premium plan is seeing the largest $2 bump in price, though it does allow users to stream content in Ultra HD quality on up to four screens at the same time - so it depends on your priorities. If you want to avoid paying these new prices unwittingly, don’t worry - Netflix will send out email notifications to existing subscribers a month before the price hike affects them.
Back in 2020, Netflix bumped up prices in Singapore - so the streaming service has now adjusted their prices two years in a row. One can expect that as long as Netflix expands with new movies, TV shows and even videogames, its prices will continue to rise as well.
