MyRepublic quietly outs an S$48 unlimited data mobile plan

Note: This article was first published on 30th August 2019 and is updated to reflect the offer for MyRepublic broadband subscribers.

MyRepublic’s MVNO telco service put up a good showing when they first splashed on the market, but even after enhancing their service offerings this year, they haven’t really stood out in the crowded no-contract SIM-only telco space – until now that is.

Unlimited is MyRepublic’s new mobile plan and they are really dishing everything you would need for just S$48 per month. You get ‘unlimited’  data, unlimited talk time (capped to 8,000 minutes) and unlimited SMS (capped to 8,000 outgoing SMS) – truly leading the current offerings we’ve compared across all other mid-range offerings and even the high-end tier.

The catch is that you only get 3GB of data per day at 4G speeds, while you get Boundless Data tier after crossing the 3GB/day limit. Boundless Data is MyRepublic's way of saying you still have data access past the official data quota, though it won't be at 4G speeds and most crucially, you won't be charged for excess data usage. Still, that’s plenty – up to 90GB per month (give and take a day difference across each year of the month). The new Unlimted plan comes with all the other MyRepublic goodness you're familiar with as covered here.

If you're an existing MyRepublic mobile customer, you can also switch to this new plan via MyAccount in their online portal or their MyRepublic Mobile App.

As of 25th September 2019, MyRepublic is also acknowledging their broadband subscribers and knocking off an extra S$10 a month, for an effective fee of S$38 per month

If you're a MyRepublic broadband subscriber too, you get an even better offer!
