MyRepublic’s new 5G no-contract plans pack 100GB data for SIM and eSIM users
Update: We've corrected an error (MR's 5G plans run on StarHub's backbone network), and added more information on the plans, like its promo period and cancellation policy.
MyRepublic today (17 January 2023) announced its new 5G mobile plan, targeted at tech-savvy users who want no-contract mobile data with fast speeds.
Called the MyRepublic 5G Mobile Plan, the ISP offers two plan structures in classic MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) style: it's a no-contract plan with no bundled phone, on top of a generous mobile data allowance on a 5G standalone (5G SA) network. MyRepublic also throws in a few other perks to make it stand out against competing MVNO 5G plans.
Firstly, the plans are available as both physical SIM or eSIM, and users have the option to choose either activation mode. eSIM would make the plan available within minutes (during its installation process, which can be done online). Physical SIM would see a compatible 5G SIM card sent to the user while they wait for the number porting to happen. MyRepublic also appended a handy list of compatible smartphones supporting its 5G network.
Secondly, MyRepublic claimed that it has one of the lowest per-GB pricing for its 5G connection. We've appended the two plans below for reference.
Plan Name | 5G Plus | 5G Ultimate |

The plans roughly work out to about S$0.20 per GB with its promotional price, which is slightly or moderately more affordable (on a per-GB basis) than other existing MVNO 5G plans. According to MyRepublic, the promotional prices are available until early March 2023.
This is on top of various unique perks, like its free 1GB/month roaming data for Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand (first six months only), and free components like Caller ID, incoming calls, and SMSes.
The "unlimited local data" in these bundles help to prevent bill shock: going above your allotment simply puts you into managed network speeds for essential functions like calls, texting, and surfing. The cancellation policy remains the same as its 4G mobile plans.
"MyRepublic's goal is to redefine mobile connectivity for our consumers, and for them to benefit from the true modern connectivity experience. Our 5G mobile plans are a step in that direction, and our answer to consumer demand for faster, reliable, and affordable internet connectivity. This allows our consumers to 'Live life with 5G', without the fear of lag interrupting their lifestyle, be it for work or play," said Lawrence Chan, Managing Director, MyRepublic Singapore.
To sign up for MyRepublic's new 5G plans, interested users can either do so via its online website here, or visit any of its seven physical outlets (AMK Hub, Bedok Mall, Hillion Mall, JCube, NEX, Seletar Mall, and Sembawang Shopping Centre).
MyRepublic's 5G MVNO services rely on StarHub's backbone network (while its 4G still uses M1). It joins other local virtual operators of its class – like Zero1, GOMO, Circles.Life, and Giga – to provide 5G network coverage without requiring a bundled, contract-based smartphone. Its MVNO services are well-liked by our readers, having won Best MVNO Service Provider in Singapore for three consecutive years (2020 to 2022) in our HWZ Tech Awards Readers' Choice.
