MSI Introduces OC Certified Motherboards

MSI presents the new MSI Z77 MPower, which is OC Certified.

First introduced by MSI during Computex this year, OC Certified standard is a new testing procedure which puts motherboards through a 24-hour Prime95 stress test. It is a major extension of MSI's Military Class certification, analyzing motherboards in 3 key areas - higher performance, enhanced PWM cooling, and better power stability.

All OC Certified tests are conducted at a CPU speed of 4.6GHz, while the enhanced PWM cooling assessment ensures that operations are stable in a high-temperature room (30 degrees Celsius) without airflow from a CPU cooler. Better Power Stability is evaluated by running Prime95 for 24 hours under these conditions.

The MSI Z77 MPower is MSI's first motherboard tested capable of operating in overclocked conditions in high temperatures with little to no airflow, and hence is OC Certified.
