Motorola is the latest Android OEM to copy the iPhone X.

The Motorola P30 midrange smartphone sports the controversial notch which houses a 12MP f/2.0 front-facing camera. The selfie camera can take portrait shots with bokeh effects thanks to AI technology, and unlocks the phone with its facial recognition technology. At the back of the P30 is the dual-camera module which consists of a 16MP f/1.8 primary lens and a 5MP f/2.2 secondary lens.

Other specs include a 6.2-inch 19:9 IPS display (2,246 x 1,080 pixels), Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, 6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage options with microSD memory card slot, ZUI 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, a 3,000mAh battery, USB Type-C port and a rear fingerprint sensor which doubles as the brand logo.

The P30 is available in three color options: bright black, ice white and aurora blue. It will hit retail shelves in China on 15 September with the price tags of 2,099 yuan (~S$418 for 64GB) and 2,499 yuan (~S$498 for 128GB). There is no word on the availability of a global variant for markets outside of China.
