Look who's coming to Singapore.

Updated on Jan 13: Brightstar is having a one-day promotion for the Moto G on the launch date (16 Jan). The first 50 customers can buy the Moto G at a special price of $99 (without contract).

Subsequent customers can enjoy 20% discount off the retail price ($318) and purchase the phone at $254.40. If you take into account the U.S pricing for the 8GB model (US$179), you are paying an additional S$28 (currency rates at time of publication) for the one-year warranty. Customers can head over to Toa Payoh Lorong 6 Block 190 #01-510 from 11AM to 3PM.

Two months after its global announcement, the Motorola Moto G (8GB) is finally making its way to Singapore on January 16 with a retail price of S$318.

Brightstar, the local distributor for the smartphone, informed HardwareZone that it is working to bring the Moto G (8GB) as soon as possible although the tentative launch date is set on January 16. At launch, the Flip Shell will also be available but its pricing is yet to be confirmed.

As a quick recap, the Moto G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It is slated for an update to Android 4.4 KitKat.

It also comes with a 4.5-inch 720p display, 8GB internal storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera and dual SIM card slots. Unfortunately, the Moto G does not support 4G LTE connectivity and has no microSD card slot.
