Mophie’s new Powerstation 3X and Powerstation 8X have both power and smarts

Mophie’s latest Powerstation lineup of universal battery solutions is said to be their slimmest collection of universal power products yet, with the Powerstation 3X measuring just 8.5mm thin, and the Powerstation 8X coming in even thinner at just 7.7mm!

These quick charging devices come with a premium aluminum finish, and even have their own integrated mobile power management app. Mophie Power works with the Powerstation 8X model and sends you custom notifications so you know the exact power level of the Powerstation. It also tracks the time remaining for the device you’re charging so you know exactly when it’s fully charged so you can switch it out for something else and offers up tips on how to improve your smartphone’s battery life.

Yes, these powerbanks come with apps for both iOS and Android.

Pass-through charging built-in means the Powerstation powers your mobile phone first before it charges itself, and dual outputs on both the Powerstation 3X and the Powerstation 8X allow for simultaneous charging capabilities. Charge your iPhone and iPad at the same time! The Powerstations deliver a full 2.4A output from their USB ports and 1.8A from the micro-USB port, allowing for speedy charging on the go.

Charge multiple devices simultaneously with the Powerstation 3X and 8X.

The Powerstation 3X measures 143.5 x 82.38 x 8.50 mm and weighs just 176g, with a capacity of 6000mAH and comes in a choice of Silver, Space grey, Gold and Rose Gold and retails for S$119. Meanwhile, the Powerstation 8X measures 183.9 x 106.2 x 12.1 mm and weighs just 386g. This comes in Silver, Space Grey, or Rose Gold and has a capacity of 15,000 mAh, with a retail price of S$224.

Both are available now at all major Mophie retailers. Other upcoming members of the Powerstation family are the Powerstation 1X,2X, and 5X, but their pricing and availability information has yet to be announced. Pass-through charging is not available on the 1X.
