Pre-orders for Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 4 has reached our shores, with details and availability listed below.
As a quick recap, the Surface Laptop 4 is a touchscreen-enabled laptop that comes in either 13.5-inch or 15-inch screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio which accords it more vertical viewing height that's great for productivity tasks . This time, Microsoft offers a choice of either Intel’s 11th Gen Core (Tiger Lake) or AMD’s custom Ryzen 4000 series processors in both sizes.
Intel’s 11th Gen Core Processors are all quad-core models with Intel Iris Xe Graphics, while AMD’s Ryzen 5 4680U have six cores, and Ryzen 7 4980U pack eight cores with AMD Radeon Graphics.
Both models support Fast Charging and while battery life varies according to the screen size and processors used, but according to Microsoft’s spec sheet, every one of them will have more than 16.5 hours rated uptime. It also includes Wi-Fi 6 (Wireless 802.11ax) with Bluetooth 5.0 as well. There's also a 720p camera with studio mics that doubles as a point of login using Windows Hello authentication.
While only the Platinum and Matte Black colours are available, prices for the 13.5-inch version starts at $1,499, while the 15-inch model goes for $1,949. They’re both available for
pre-order purchase on Microsoft’s online store, Shopee, and other online electronics stores, while the full retail availability is from 8th June 2021.
