Microsoft just announced the Surface Go 2.

Even though the Surface Go 2 maintains the same thin, lightweight design, Microsoft managed to shrink the bezels to fit a 10.5-inch PixelSense display. The resolution is slightly higher at 1,920 x 1,280 pixels and still support the Surface Pen.

The Surface Go 2 comes in two processor options. The base model is equipped with the Intel Pentium 4425Y while the higher-end model has the Intel m3-8100Y which Microsoft claims to deliver up to 64% faster performance. It comes in 4GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage options.

Other new features include dual-studio microphones, a 5MP front-facing camera, a new camera app for the rear 8MP camera for scanning documents and whiteboards, and up to 10 hours of battery life. The Surface Go 2 keeps the USB Type-C port, Surface Connect port, microSD card reader and a headphone jack.

The Surface Go 2 starts from US$399 and will be available from 12 May. There is also a LTE model. There is no word on local pricing or availability at time of publication.
