Microsoft Signs Off on Windows Phone 7 Mango RTM

To all the Windows Phone 7 users out there waiting for the Mango update, here's some good news. Microsoft has just signed off on the release to manufacturer (RTM) build of Mango.

And that means companies such as HTC, Samsung, LG and many more will receive the Mango code, starting the process of optimizing and getting the Mango update ready to be pushed onto existing devices and preloaded onto their new lineup.

The Windows Phone 7 Mango update brings a few key features that were missing (and should have been) in the initial build, such as multi-tasking.

Further enhancements to its People hub will also be introduced in the update, such as a Group that lets you monitor incoming text, IM and Facebook messages under one single hub. Twitter integration will also be deployed in the Mango update.
