Microsoft’s new Modern family wants to improve the virtual meeting experience

Most Microsoft accessories we’ve been familiar with so far are their input devices like keyboards and mice.

With the growing popularity of video conferencing tools like Zoom and Microsoft’s own Teams, this time the company is bringing headphones, a USB-C speaker, and a webcam all under their Microsoft Modern family.

Currently only available in the United States, the Surface Headphones 2+ is priced at US$299.99.  Business and education customers in the United States can place orders today through microsoft.com.

These two Microsoft Modern headsets are Microsoft Team certified allowing users to join a meeting or answer a call with the dedicated Teams button. A physical mute button and LED mute indicator light mean that users won’t be heard unless they want to.

The Microsoft Modern USB Headset will be available in June in the United States for US$49.99. We will update pricing and availability for the Modern Wireless Headset when we have it.

Plus, the integrated cord storage takes up minimal desk space, making it portable enough for wherever users work.  The Microsoft Modern USB-C Speaker will start shipping this June for US$99.99.
