A year after bringing back the classic IntelliMouse Explorer, Microsoft has announced the Pro IntelliMouse, a wired gaming mouse with a custom PixArt PAW 3389 Pro-MS sensor.

Featuring up to 16,000 DPI (adjustable in 50 DPI steps) and 12,000 fps refresh rate, the new Pro IntelliMouse is a 5-button mouse, with the left and right buttons using Omron switches rated at 20 million clicks. The two side buttons are found on the left of the Pro IntelliMouse, which means this is a mouse designed for right-handers.

There are plenty of settings you can adjust through the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center software, including the mouse lift distance, straight line correction, polling rate, and the colors of the mouse's RGB LED tail light. You can also set up game macros and shortcuts to, say, quickly reduce the DPI or make a 180-degree turn with just one button click.

Available in “dark sand” and “silver platinum” shades, the Microsoft Pro IntelliMouse is priced at RMB 399 (~S$79) and will start shipping in China Dec 12. It’s unclear at the moment if this mouse would be available elsewhere.
