Microsoft Office 2011 Update for Mac OS X Lion Coming Soon

Given how there's a great number of Microsoft Office users out there, it's no surprise that even a Mac OS X user is still reliant on Microsoft's productivity suite. Unfortunately, the current version of Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac hasn't been fully optimized for the OS X Lion experience.

Fortunately, updates are already available. If you've been experiencing crashes with Microsoft's Communicator for Mac on OS X Lion, the company has released an update to resolve that issue. The update should be available via Microsoft's AutoUpdate system. If the prompt hasn't kicked in, you can also get it from Microsoft's Download Center.

Meanwhile, OS X Lion's main features, such as Auto Save, Versions and fullscreen mode will only be added into Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac in a future update. According to Microsoft, the update will most likely be available in the months to come, so you'll have to wait a while to see full compatibility between your Office suite and OS X Lion.
