Microsoft enters the headphone space with their Surface Headphones

It seems Microsoft is going beyond just software and computers as it has just announced the launch of their Surface Headphones. These over-ear headphones come in light gray and weigh just 0.29g and have a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz thanks to the use of 40mm Free Edge Drivers.

The wireless headphones come with two beam-forming microphones on each ear cup, with a total of eight microphones for noise-cancelling capabilities. They have a battery life of 15 hours (wireless use with ANC on and Cortana enabled), and can get a full charge in less than two hours via USB.

There will be 13 levels of ambient noise control, and on-ear controls that let you easily adjust volume and noise cancellation levels. Of course, the Surface Headphones will come with support for Cortana and pair with regular Bluetooth devices so you can go from laptop to phone seamlessly.

The Surface Headphones will be available by the end of year, but pricing information has not be released yet.
