Need a Quick Charge-certified power bank? Take a look at this Michi Slim 12000 QC

With more phones adopting Qualcomm’s Quick Charge (QC) standard, demand for QC-compatible power banks (or external battery packs) is on the rise. As I’ve mentioned in my recent power bank buying tips article, if your phone supports QC and you’re used to the super-fast charging with the bundled QC adapter, it makes sense to buy a QC-capable power bank so that you can enjoy fast charging on the go.

The Michi Slim 12000 QC is one such power bank. As the name implies, it sports a 12,000mAh (44.4Wh) lithium polymer battery and supports Quick Charge version 2.0. It has two outputs: one supports QC and one supports up to 2.1A at 5V, thus making it suitable for both Android and iOS devices. When both ports are used, it can reach a maximum limit of 4.2A. Also, it has a 2.1A input, which means it shouldn’t take very long to recharge the power bank itself (Michi quotes six to eight hours).

Other features of the Michi Slim 12000 QC include a rubber coating for extra grip and safety mechanisms for over-charge/discharge voltage protection, over-charge temperature protection, over-current protection, and circuit protection. In addition, this UL Lab-certified power bank is currently in the process of being certified under Spring Singapore's Cir2015-01 safety requirements standard, which is coming into effect in 2016.

Priced at S$89, and available in gray, navy blue, dark purple, turquoise, blue, and pink color options, you can find the Michi Slim 12000 QC at Tangs Orchard, GK Global Causeway Point, GK Global Sun Plaza, POD Contact, and more.
