One of the key focuses of Apple's mixed reality headset is communications, and Memojis and SharePlay are expected to play a central role.

In his latest Power on newsletter, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says the mixed reality headset will introduce a virtual reality version of FaceTime where users are represented by Memojis in the virtual conference room. SharePlay is also expected to be used frequently in RealityOS - the OS powering the headset - where users can experience music, movies and games together.

Apple was initially planning to unveil the mixed reality headset towards the end of the year, but development challenges reportedly forced the company to delay the plan until 2023.
