MediaTek expected to release its first 6nm G-series chip in Q3
MediaTek is rumoured to be gearing up to launch its next-generation G-series chip in Q3.
Reliable sources familiar with the matter told GSMArena that MediaTek aims to announce a new G-series chipset based on the 6nm process. Slated to replace the Helio G96, the upcoming chipset will have the same CPU configuration with 2 x Cortex-A76 cores, 6 x Cortex-A55 cores, and Mali G57 MC2.
Other features of the new chip include support for 108MP cameras, 2K video recording at 30fps, 120Hz on FHD+ displays, and 4G connectivity.
