New York-based audio company Master & Dynamic is well-known for its luxurious lineup, including excellent headphones and earbuds like the MW07 Plus and more. Now, the company is partnering with wearables company Neurable to introduce a new product, the MW75-Neuro, an over-ear headphone that is supposed to be able to read brainwaves and is available for pre-orders online.

This is accomplished via neural electroencephalogram (EEG) sensors built into the headphones, allowing the headphones to track a wearer’s brainwaves and analyse them. The data is processed to create information about the wearer’s focus periods, potential burnout, and optimal break timings for better productivity. Said data is analysed and provided via the Neurable mobile app for iOS and Android.

Sound-wise, Master & Dynamic brings its usual top-class audio with custom 40mm beryllium-coated drivers that's also on its regular MW75 (an existing product). The images of the new MW75-Neuro do provide a bit of insight into what’s different on these brainwave headphones, with fabric earpads instead of standard leather ones and metal plates on either side of the headband featuring Neurable’s logo and slogan. Despite these differences, the headphones are styled after Master & Dynamic's distinct design language.

The headphones also offer up to eight hours of battery life with ANC and EEG tracking is turned on, and a total of 32 hours of battery life when used just as Bluetooth headphones without ANC or EEG.

These cans also have eight microphones in total, allowing for phone calls and noise cancellation, along with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and support for SBC, AAC and aptX Adaptive codecs.
