To prepare for the launch of the first iPhones with USB-C, Apple is said to have started the mass production of EarPods with USB-C.

Tipster @VNchocoTaco shared in a tweet that USB-C MFi cables and EarPods are already in mass production at Foxconn. The tipster believes this is a strong indication that the next iPhones will sport the USB-C port.

The current EarPods use the 3.5mm headphone plug and is compatible with all models of iPod, iPhone and iPad. It comes in two options: one with a Lightning connector and the other with a 3.5mm headphone plug.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 in September. The USB-C port on the Pro models is tipped to support higher-speed data transfers.
