Marvel's Spider-Man 2 limited-edition PlayStation 5 console is now opened for pre-order

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 limited-edition PlayStation 5 console is now opened for pre-order.

The Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition PS5 Bundle offers a custom console and DualSense controller along with a digital copy of Insomniac Games' eagerly anticipated sequel, slated for release on Oct 20.

What's most eye-catching about the new console are its red-and-black faceplates that take inspiration from the upcoming title's aesthetics. The console embodies the essence of Spider-Man, sporting a dominating red colorway and white spider logo engulfed by the black symbiote – an apt representation of Peter Parker and Miles Morales' looming battle against the villainous Venom in the game. The DualSense controller follows the same design but leans heavily on black.

Sony is stirring up the gaming waters with this launch, their first limited-edition PS5 since the console's inception in 2020. The Spider-Man 2 PS5's loud, chaotic, and comic-centric design might not appeal to all, but it will undoubtedly resonate with Spider-fans eager for the game's release. Note that this bundle includes the standard, disc drive PS5, leaving the cheaper Digital Edition off the table this time.

For those who already own a PS5 and wish to bring a slice of superhero chaos to their console, Sony will also retail console covers featuring the same artwork for both the PS5 Disc and PS5 Digital Edition. A standalone Spider-Man 2 DualSense controller is also up for grabs for those wanting an extra 'Venom-ized' gamepad.

The new Spider-Man 2 game, one of the year's most awaited titles, expands on the open-world superhero action of its predecessor by allowing players to step into the shoes of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. They will confront new villains and further explore New York City, even the underrepresented Queens.
