Marshall unveils IP67-rated mini portable speaker, the Willen
If you’re in the market for a stylish, portable speaker to mount on your equally rad ride, the new Marshall Willen might be something to keep in mind.
The Marshall Willen is a 10.1 x 10.5 x 4cm mini portable speaker that combines the brand’s look and feel with 15 hours of playback time. It’s also rated with IP67 water and dust resistance, and it comes with a mounting strap.
The speaker contains a 2-inch full-range driver and two passive radiators, covering the audial spectrum in music with Marshall’s tuning. As a highly portable speaker, it can be carried or mounted via its rubber strap.
To use it wirelessly, the Willen connects to its source device via Bluetooth 5.1, with the option to use its accompanying app to control songs. The Bluetooth pairing button, an LED battery indicator, and a front-facing multi-directional control knob come on the speaker itself.
Stack Mode, accessed via the Bluetooth pairing button, lets you daisy-chain multiple Willen speakers for a larger sound.
Finally, the Willen also has a built-in microphone for accepting calls to your device.
Marshall Willen is exclusively available via TC Acoustic at an official price of S$179.
Separately, Marshall is also updating the Emberton series with a new version. The Marshall Emberton II retains most of its predecessor’s features, but it comes with 50% more portable playback time (a total of 30+ hours). It’s also rated at IP67, has Stack Mode, and has Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.
The Marshall Emberton II retails at S$299 via TC Acoustic’s official web store.
