Mark Zuckerberg thinks Apple Vision Pro offers no magical solutions

Mark Zuckerberg recently shared his thoughts on the Apple Vision Pro during a meeting with employees.
Zuckerberg thinks Apple did not offer any "magical solutions" that Meta hasn't already explored and thought of. While the Apple Vision Pro has a higher resolution display and other advanced technologies, Meta's Quest 3 is priced 7 times lower and does not require a battery to be attached during usage.
More importantly, Zuckerberg feels the Apple Vision Pro highlights the differences in values and vision that both companies have for the future of computing. Zuckerberg states that Meta innovates to ensure that its products are "accessible and affordable to everyone" and that is a core part of Meta's strategy.
In addition, Meta's vision for the metaverse and presence is "fundamentally social" where people interact and feel closer in new ways, and encourage them to be active and do things. This is unlike the Apple Vision Pro where most of the demos show the user alone in a space. Hence, Zuckerberg claims Apple's vision of the future of computing is not the one that he wants.
Meta unveiled its Quest 3 mixed reality headset a few days before WWDC 2023 where Apple introduced the Vision Pro. The Meta Quest 3 is priced at US$499.99 for the 128GB model and supports over 500 VR games, apps and experiences. On the other hand, the Apple Vision Pro costs US$3,499 and will ship with a brand-new App Store with compatible iPhone and iPhone apps. We recently tried the Apple Vision Pro and these are our thoughts.
