Wizards SEA is inviting all Planeswalkers to explore trading card game Magic: The Gathering over two weekends.

On the weekends spanning April 8 to 9, and April 14-16, players both new and old alike can head down to three selected local game stores to experience the game for themselves. From guided learn-to-play sessions, meet and greet cosplayer activities, and a new 2v2 player format that pairs new and seasoned players together, there is something for everyone keen on immersing themselves in the fantasy world of Magic.

The activities coincide with the upcoming launch of Magic's latest set, March of the Machine. All activities are free, but you are encouraged to pre-register on Magic: The Gathering’s Facebook event. New players who pre-register will also receive two themed booster packs to kickstart their journey.

March of the Machine releases on April 21, and players who join will be among the first to try the new set ahead of its release.

The three stores hosting the event will be transformed into planes that will be depicted in March of the Machine, which is centred on a multiverse theme where heroes from different locations band together for the ultimate fight of good versus evil.

Here's a look at each of the stores and their plane theme:

  • Grey Orgre Games - Kamigawa
  • Sanctuary Gaming - Dominaria
  • Dueller's Point - Phyrexia

Attendees dressed in the store’s theme will also receive a free themed booster pack. Veteran players can also receive a booster pack for teaching new players at the pre-release event.
