M1 unveils new sonic identity to strengthen brand presence

M1 strengthens its brand presence with a new sonic identity.
M1 Limited (our orange telco) unveiled its sonic identity today (9 April 2024).
Through the use of short jingles and longer musical arrangements, M1 aims to connect with its audience on a personal level, celebrating both individuality and unity.
The new sonic identity represents its brand values of warmth, authenticity, and personalised experiences. It also represents Singapore’s cultural diversity through ethnic instruments mixed into a special arrangement.
A quick check on M1’s sound branding page showed it has six samples, ranging from simple ringtones and logo chimes to grander arrangements for its corporate events.

According to an M1 spokesperson, M1 relied on sonic branding agency Sixième Son for its new aural appearance.
For its customers, M1 said the sonic identity can be heard across its various touchpoints. They would encounter it across its customer service interactions and digital platforms, like the My M1+ app or its roadshows.
