M1 partners Blacknut, adding 5G cloud gaming to its services

Blacknut, the subscription-based cloud gaming service partnered with M1.

M1 today (25 January 2022) announced that it entered an exclusive partnership with Blacknut, a subscription-based cloud gaming platform, to offer 5G-streamed cloud gaming services on M1’s network.

“True 5G not only transforms businesses, but also consumer experiences. We are excited to show the game-changing prowess of 5G through our partnership with Blacknut, to level up gaming experiences for Singaporean gamers. Powered by 5G connectivity, M1 is on track to create an inclusive gaming ecosystem by enabling affordable and accessible gaming options,” said Mr Manjot Singh Mann, Chief Executive Officer, M1.

Details of the cloud gaming subscription plan via M1 will only surface at its official launch (later in Q2 2022). For now, M1 said that the service offers “more than 450 high-quality PC and console titles” in a single subscription, and the service is also device-agnostic – workable with TVs, PCs, tablets, and mobile phones.

Naturally, the cloud gaming service will rely on M1’s True 5G network to deliver a seamless cloud gaming experience to subscribers.

According to Blacknut’s official website, the cloud gaming service boasts a games catalogue “for the whole family”. It also includes built-in parental controls, with up to five separate accounts per subscription and the option to create “child-only” accounts. The service also claims that its game titles do not contain ads or in-game purchases.
