M1, e-Cop and Radware Introduce Next-Gen Managed Security Service

M1, e-Cop, and Radware today announced the launch of a new managed security service for enterprises.

The cloud-based managed security service, utilizing Radware's next-generation networks and application security technologies, will deliver advanced threat protection from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks to M1’s enterprise fibre broadband customers.

Today’s enterprises are increasingly reliant on IT to maintain their business critical operations. This has consequently attracted more attention from cyber-criminals, who are increasingly employing DDoS attacks as their attack vector of choice.

DDoS attacks are designed to overwhelm an enterprise’s network resources and compromise its website, and M1’s new cloud-based DDoS mitigation service employs Radware’s integrated multilayer security solution to detect and mitigate both volumetric and graduated DDoS attacks in the network and application layers, service cracking and application scans. This enables M1 to provide customers an "Always-On" cleanpipe that can proactively detect DDoS attacks and filter off attack traffic from its intended target, while allowing legitimate data to continue on to its destination, in real time.

To help enterprises further optimize their manpower resources, this mitigation service will include proactive monitoring and traffic analysis by e-Cop’s 24x7 Security Operations Centre manned with e-Cop security experts, to allow enterprises to focus on core aspects of their businesses.
