M1 customers, you can now charge your Microsoft Store and Xbox Store purchases to your monthly bill

M1 customers, take note: the telco has announced that you can now charge your Microsoft Store and Xbox Store transactions directly to your monthly postpaid mobile bill. M1 is apparently the first carrier in Singapore to offer this payment method for purchases made on Microsoft's digital stores.

P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, M1:

We are delighted to offer our customers a secure and fuss-free way to make purchases from the wide selection of apps and games available in the Microsoft and Xbox Stores. This collaboration with Microsoft will bring M1 customers the benefit of consolidating their transactions into a single monthly mobile bill. It is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the experience at customer touchpoints, providing them with the best and most seamless digital experience.

To use this M1 Mobile Billing service, all customers need to do is to visit the Windows Store or Xbox Store, select the content they would like to purchase, and then choose “Mobile Phone” as the payment method and enter their M1 mobile number. Note too that once mobile billing is selected, all future purchases made through the associated Microsoft Windows or Xbox account will be charged to your monthly M1 bill.

This isn't the first time M1 offers direct carrier billing as a payment method for third-party services. M1 customers can also charge their Apple App Store and iTunes purchases, Apple Music subscription, as well as Google Play store purchases to their monthly bill.
