M1 and Liberty Wireless announce Singapore's first post-paid Mobile Virtual Network Operator

M1 has announced an agreement to enable Singapore-based company, Liberty Wireless, to operate as Singapore's first post-paid virtual network, delivering voice, messaging and data access to its customers, using M1’s mobile network.

Through the agreement, Liberty Wireless will tap on M1’s mobile network to be the first mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) to offer voice, messaging and data services to postpaid customers in Singapore. Liberty Wireless' operating brand, Circles Asia, is expected to begin offering its mobile service towards the end of 2015.

In addition to Liberty Wireless, M1 also hosts two MVNOs offering prepaid mobile services to consumers.

“We welcome this partnership with Liberty Wireless which will bring about a new value proposition and added choice to consumers,” said Mr Lee Kok Chew, Chief Commercial Officer, M1.

“We look forward to this partnership with M1. Through this alliance, Circles Asia is poised to launch innovative products and transform how consumers experience the power of mobile,” said Mr Rameez Ansar, Director, Liberty Wireless.
