Logitech Sight adds video and sound to rooms with dual 4K cameras and seven mics

Logitech has announced their new AI-powered, tabletop camera - the Logitech Sight.

With dual 4K cameras and seven beamforming microphones, the Logitech Sight is paired with the Logitech Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini and managed through Logitech Sync. Logitech Sight is meant to work with a front-of-room camera to add an additional, centre-of-room perspective to follow conversations between speakers, capture contextual in-room activity and auto-frame participants for the best experience.

Once the Sight takes over, it can arrange the attendees in the room in a series of different views (speaker, grid, smart switching) depending on the number of video streams sent. Logitech adds that multi-stream support and the number of supported streams will vary by service provider.

A recent Logitech report stated that in today’s hybrid work landscape, 38% of remote employees in Singapore report not feeling included in video calls with in-office colleagues. Sight is meant to solve this by giving them an “at the table” experience.

Logitech says that coming soon after the launch, an update to Sight will enable RightSight with Smart Switching, adaptive intelligence that selects the best view between the tabletop camera and front-of-room camera, intuitively switching between camera views of in-person interactions and tracking conversations naturally.

Like most modern video conferencing solutions, Sight is compatible with platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. Plus, it is backwards compatible with Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini, so IT teams can confidently deploy this new technology with their existing video bars.
