Lian Li has announced an updated version to its Strimer Plus addressable RGB extension cables. Dubbed the Strimer Plus V2, the new model features multiple improvements for easier installation and even more stunning lighting effects.

The silicon-covered power cables now feature a thinner profile for better flexibility, which should give you an easier time when you're plugging it in.

The diffuser strip has also been upgraded, allowing the RGB lights to shine through the side for more brilliant lighting effects.

In addition, both GPU versions of the Strimer Plus V2 now feature separate 6+2-pin connectors for better compatibility with graphics cards that have power connectors that are farther apart.

You can customise the lighting effects using Lian Li's L-Connect 3 software, which will let you control each RGB channel on the 24-pin, 2x8-pin, and 3x8-pin cables.

L-Connect 3 works with Lian Li's entire ecosystem, so if you have SL120, AL120, or SL Infinity fans, you can easily sync them up. On top of that, the software will show you system information including CPU and GPU load and memory usage.

The new Strimer Plus V2 has certainly come a long way from the original Strimer from 2018 and looks much more brilliant.

They are now available to order in the following SKUs:-

  • Strimer Plus V2 Motherboard 24-pin - US$69.99
  • Strimer Plus V2 GPU 8-pin - US$49.99
  • Strimer Plus V2 GPU Triple 8-pin - US$59.99
  • Strimer Plus controller upgrade kit - US$19.99

They are currently available on Newegg, though the SGD prices are a little high after shipping charges are added in. We'll update again when we've local pricing information.
