LG unleashes new CordZero Handstick and Hom-Bot Square vacuums

LG launches the new CordZero Handstick and Hom-Bot Square just in time before the fun (and messy) festive period. These familiar home appliances pack new upgrades that surpass their predecessors. Without further ado:

LG CordZero Handstick (VS8606SWM)

The LG CordZero Handstick (VS8606SWM) is based off vacuum-only predecessor (VS8401SCW). The new version, however, combines both vacuuming and mopping in a single appliance.

You can now attach a Cloud Mop microfiber cloth behind the new CordZero Handstick, and it now comes with a 330ml container for water and cleaning agents. Doing so allows the appliance to mop and vacuum at the same time. Users can unplug the Cloud Mop and water container if they wish to focus on vacuuming only.

The familiar CordZero Handstick features are still available in this new version. It has the Dual PowerPack – a replaceable lithium-ion dual battery pack. The 2-in-1 design stays, so users can also detach the full-length handle to use the Handstick as a handheld sucker. The Anti-Tangle Brush also prevents clumps of hair from accumulating on your vacuum stick by automatically sucking up loose strands trapped on the nozzle.

The new LG CordZero Handstick is currently available at all major electronics stores, and it retails at S$649 in Gold.

LG Hom-Bot Square (VR65710LVMP)

The LG Hom-Bot Square (VR65710LVMP) is an upgraded version of the older VR6270LVMB version, which we’ve reviewed two years ago.

Now, the LG Hom-Bot Square has an upgraded Dual Eye 2.0 camera that works in both brightly-lit and low-light conditions. The little robot helper won’t be roaming around helplessly in the dark, which is especially handy for folks who prefer to use the low-noise (60dB) robot vacuum after hours.

The Corner Detection System still lives on the new Hom-Bot Square, and it provides up to 94% reach into corners (versus the 54% reach offered by round-shaped robots). The Ultrasonic Sensor on the vacuum offers detection against glass and transparent objects. It has a built-in lithium-ion battery PowerPack, offering up to 100 minutes of vacuuming in regular mode.

The LG Hom-Bot Square (VR65710LVMP) with Dual Eye 2.0 retails at S$1,299 in Metallic Silver. The Single Eye alternative (VR6540LV) retails at S$899 in Metallic Red.

Below are the specifications for the new LG vacuum helpers:
