LG to start selling its EG960T curved 4K OLED TV this month

LG has just announced the launch of the EG960T, a curved 4K OLED TV that we first saw at CES earlier this year. Available in 55 and 65-inch screen sizes, the EG960T will start arriving in local stores this month. The 55-inch model is the first to arrive, and is priced at S$6,999. Exact availability and pricing details for the 65-inch model will be announced at a later date.

Sporting a new Art Slim Curved Design with a floating stand, the near-borderless EG960T is an OLED TV with a 3,840 x 2,160-pixel resolution. It uses LG’s 4-color WRGB tech (which translates to a staggering 33 million sub-pixels) to achieve “infinite contrast ratio and lifelike perfect colors”. The onboard Perfect Mastering Engine optimizes the settings of the TV to boost picture quality to premium levels, and also can upscale SD, HD, or Full HD content to near-4K quality. And it goes without saying that it has a built-in 4K High Efficiency Video Codec (HEVC) decoder to ensure users’ ability to watch 4K broadcasts in the future. The WebOS 2.0-based smart TV also sports Harman Kardon sound, and has three HDMI and three USB ports.

If even the 65EG960T is too small for you, then know that the 77-inch EG970T is already in stores. Also a curved 4K OLED TV, it can be had for S$27,599.
