LG has announced its new StanbyMe Go (27LX5), an all-in-one entertainment device which includes a screen, stand, and speaker, in a ready-to-go suitcase that has passed the US Department of Defence durability test.

This TV on-the-go is an update to the original which was a 27-inch display mounted on a moveable stand.

According to LG, the 27-inch touchscreen turns on and off simply by opening and closing the case without the need for any assembly or installation process. It can also be tilted 90 degrees up, rotated 90 degrees clockwise, and raised 18cm. Depending on the viewing environment, customers can turn the screen horizontally or vertically, or use it in table mode.

The StanbyMe Go has a 20W speaker installed in the product as well as support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos so you can enjoy an immersive viewing experience. It comes equipped with smart TV platform webOS and supports Airplay and screen mirroring, so you can easily share the screen with iOS and Android OS devices. It also supports voice recognition, so it is easy to change channels, adjust sound, and search for content with only a user’s voice when it's used outdoors. The TV accessories such as its remote controls and power cables can be stored inside the case. Users can get up to three hours of use without an external power supply.
