LG’s new SK10Y sound bar looks good and sounds even better

The latest premium sound bar from LG, the SK10Y was developed in partnership with the experts at Meridian Audio, and thus has gained many innovative audio enhancements like Meridian Audio’s Bass and Space technology and its Height Elevation technologies.

These technologies allow the SK10Y to bring extra clarity to speech and music, and to raise sound to the level of the screen. Given that the SK10Y supports 5.1.2 channels and Dolby Atmos technology, the added technologies will only enhance the sound bar’s ability to envelop you with sound, so you can expect to be truly immersed in sound.

Built with movie and music enthusiasts in mind, the SK10Y of course supports lossless audio files, and is able to play back up to 40kHz files with the added ability of being able to upsample standard audio files to 24bit/192kHz quality, thus greatly enhancing subtle details and nuances.

The sound bar boasts a total of 550W power and comes with a 200W wireless subwoofer. It has two HDMI 2.0 inputs and one output, and supports 4K pass through. It’s also multi-room compatible via Wi-Fi and supports a variety of lossless audio formats like FLAC (up to 192kHz), OGG (up to 48kHz), WAV, ALAC, MP3, WMA, AAC+ and AIFF.

The SK10Y measures 1200 mm x 58 mm x 145mm and has a net weight of 7.5kg. It will be available from the end of this month from all authorized LG dealers for S$1,999.
