As Apple prepares to launch the 2019 iPhone lineup next month, LG has reportedly started the mass production of the camera modules for the phones.

ETNews claimed that Apple is the biggest customer for LG Innotek, hence the South Korean company went on a hiring spree the past few months. Apparently, the number of short-term workers hired by LG Innotek increased from 200 at the end of March to 880 at the end of June.

LG Innotek is the lead supplier for the triple-lens camera module for two of the three upcoming iPhone models, while O-Film and Sharp are believed to be the secondary suppliers. Apple is expected to unveil the 2019 iPhone lineup on 10 September with sales starting on 20 September.
