Comebacks are no longer limited to Korean pop bands - it looks like the 5G-ready LG chocolate phone is due for a return on 15 May, as reported by Naver.

Interestingly, the renders used for the LG's 5G-ready "chocolate phone" looks similar to the rumoured LG G9 renders back in March and January 2020, where it was also reported that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset.

However, the Naver news report claimed that LG would no longer rely on the "G" branding for their mainstream premium phone, but instead, it will harken back to the "glory days of the LG chocolate phone". This change in branding and the focus on the 'chocolate' design was made known to Korean telcos and mobile operators at a product briefing, LG has yet to announce an official name for the 15 May release.

While the briefing did not share further details, past leaks have stated that the phone will tout a display between 6.7 to 6.9 inches, which is similar to the LG V60 ThinQ 5G that was launched for selected markets. It will come with four cameras, with the primary camera at 48-megapixels, and supported by a fairly generous 4,000mAh battery capacity.
