LG introduces new air purifier ahead of CES 2022

Ahead of CES 2022 (happening 5 - 8 January 2022), LG introduced their newest all-in-one air purifier. The LG PuriCare AeroTower packs plenty of features into a modern-looking appliance, boasting multiple modes alongside fresher, cleaner air.

By default, the PuriCare AeroTower has three modes. Heating Mode is ideal for folks who tend to feel chilly as it lets you blast air up to 30°C, and LG said it could increase room temperature by 5°C in just five minutes. Fan Mode does what it says on the label, but it also has 10 levels of air intensity for extra control. Finally, Diffusion Mode focuses on delivering filtered air - upwards and outwards.

The air purifier uses LG's Air Valley technology, which employs the Coandă effect to get consistent airflow across a room. The appliance's design also helps in ensuring that it emits only 23dB of noise, akin to whispering voices.

Its filtering capabilities are certified by SGS's IBR Laboratories, where its multi-stage true HEPA filters catch 99.7% of particulates as small as 0.3-microns (for reference, pet dander or shedding is 0.1-0.5 microns). LG also implanted LG UVnano, using ultraviolet-C light to minimise the amount of bacteria on the PuriCare AeroTower.

As with most modern home appliances, the air purifier can be paired with the LG ThingQ mobile app on Android and iOS, and users can monitor or control the appliance remotely.

While LG is no stranger to making these machines, the new PuriCare AeroTower is certainly one of its more visually appealing ones. LG didn't mention if these models have old tricks like baby-friendly airflow or sensors for 0.1-micron particles, but the multiple fan modes and ultraviolet disinfection makes the new purifier just as attractive.

The air purifier is available at LG's CES 2022 virtual exhibition booth. However, LG  has yet to share any details about Singapore availability or pricing.
