As you might expect from a notebook called gram, LG's gram series notebooks are among the lightest in the market right now.

For 2021, LG has updated the entire range with Intel's new Tiger Lake processors. On top of that, they have also made some enhancements in terms of features and usability. Let's take a quick look at the lineup now.

gram 14 Z90P

The gram 14 is LG's lightest and most compact notebook. It weighs just 999g and it's 16.8mm thick.

Apart from the new processor, the big change this year is an updated display that has a 16:10 aspect ratio. This is a welcome change as it means more vertical real estate for scrolling through documents and spreadsheets.

Screen resolution is 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and LG says it supports 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The other notable enhancement is the ports on offer. You now have two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports as well as two USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. There's also a full-size HDMI port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Despite their portable dimensions, the gram 14 will come with a large 72Wh battery. Claimed battery life is up to 25.5 hours.

Two configurations will be on offer with prices starting at S$1,899. The gram 14 will be available in white, dark silver, and black.

The gram 14 2-in-1 is the only convertible notebook in the gram lineup. It weighs 1.25kg and is just 16.75mm thick.

The 14-inch touchscreen display has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. It's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

In terms of ports, you get one less USB-A port and there's no HDMI port. This means it still has two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, a single USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Battery capacity is 72Wh and LG claims the gram 14 2-in-1 can run for up to 24.5 hours.

It's available in two configurations with prices starting at $2,199.

The gram 15 has been upsized and it's now the gram 16. The big change here is obviously the screen. It's now 16 inches large (up from 15.6 inches) and it also has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Screen resolution is 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. Claimed colour support is up to 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The gram 16 is easily one of, if not the lightest 16-inch notebook you can buy. It weighs just 1.19kg – that's as light as most 13-inch notebooks. Thickness is 16.8mm.

It has the same ports as the gram 14, so that means two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a single HDMI port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

However, it has a larger 80Wh battery. Claimed battery life is up to 22 hours.

Again, two configurations will be on offer with prices starting at S$2,099. The gram 16 comes in dark silver and black.

The gram 17 is the largest notebook in the gram lineup. But even then, it weighs just 1.35kg. That's amazing considering most notebooks of the same class are at least 2kg. Thickness is only 17.8mm.

The gram 17 has had a 16:10 aspect ratio display since 2019 and that's been carried over here. Resolution is 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and it supports up to 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

You have the same ports as the gram 14 and gram 16. There are two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a single HDMI port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Battery capacity is 80Wh and LG says it can last up to 19.5 hours.

Three configurations of the gram 17 will be available with prices starting at S$2,199. The gram 17 is available in dark silver and black.
