LG G Watch to Launch in Singapore on July 26

Google just showcased the three smartwatches - the LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live and Moto 360 - two weeks ago and one of them is coming to Singapore in the coming weeks.

LG Singapore told HardwareZone earlier that it is planning to launch the G Watch on July 26 at a retail price of S$268. The G Watch will come in two colors: white gold and black titan.

The G Watch is also available for pre-order via UK-based retailer MobileFun for S$281.99 although it was priced higher two weeks ago. You will not get the local warranty and service centre support.

As a quick recap, the G Watch sports a 1.65-inch IPS display (280 x 280 pixels), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage capacity and 400mAh battery. It is compatible with Android devices running 4.3 Jelly Bean and above and weighs only 63g. It is also rated IP67 for water and dust resistance.

HardwareZone managed to get some hands-on time with a pre-production watch, so read on for our initial thoughts.
