*Updated: 22 February 2022 13:20 with pricing details.*
Although IFA 2022 isn't (officially) scheduled to begin till next Friday, participating companies like LG Electronics are apparently wasting no time drumming up the hype. Notably, they've already announced a wide variety of new products that visitors will be able to experience at their booth, including the monstrous 45-inch UltraGear 240Hz Curved OLED Gaming Monitor.
Sporting a 21:9 aspect ratio and WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution, LG's new screen seeks to deliver the unparalleled visual performance, speed, and versatility that serious gamers look for in a monitor. Apart from being the brand's first curved OLED screen to offer a 240Hz refresh rate, it also features an 800R curvature and borderless design to further enhance immersion during intense gaming sessions.
As for responsiveness and colour coverage, the new UltraGear (designated as the 45GR95QE) comes with a 0.1ms Grey-to-Grey (GTG) response time and accommodates 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space, backed up by superior HDR10 performance and HDMI 2.1 support. Additionally, it even offers extensive optical protection with LG's Anti-Glare and Low Reflection Coating, which greatly reduces the strain on users' eyes over extended periods of gaming. Unfortunately, LG has yet to share any details on pricing for the time being, but don't fret - we'll keep you posted as soon as they do.
