LG plans to mop up CES 2020 with these new cordless cleaning solutions
LG also cleans the house at CES 2020
In addition to soundbars and an indoor vegetable cultivator, LG Electronics (LG) will also be showcasing cleaning solutions for your home at CES 2020 with new cord-free cleaning products with new mopping capabilities.
LG CordZeroThinQ A9 with Power Drive Mop
The upcoming LG CordZeroThinQ A9 Stick Vacuum with Power Drive Mop is set to deliver vacuum and mopping capabilities from a single stick-type device, thanks to LG’s proprietary Power Drive Mop technology that transforms it into a multi-cleaning tool. An advanced automatic water supply system insures the two rotating mop pads always have just the right amount of water to clean without leaving a puddle behind. To accommodate different types of flooring and cleaning power, users can choose to increase, decrease or completely shut off the flow of water.
The base design is fortunately similar to the earlier introduced LG CordZero A9 cordless stick vaccuum that debuted in mid-2019 and existing owners can simply purchase the Power Drive Mop upgrade kit, which includes the nozzle and mop pads. So that's good news and making good use of a well-received model.
LG isn’t the only company to launch such an all-encompassing cordless stick mop multi-cleaning solution. Also made available in mid-2019, the SpeedPro Max Aqua from Philips also a stands out for its ability to mop, vacuum, and eliminate dust, bacteria and allergens thanks to the use of a three-stage advanced filtration system. However, unlike Philips, LG takes it a step further to automatically control the water flow as it deems fit for the job.
We'll find out more details when we get a firsthand look at it in CES 2020.
LG CordZeroThinQ Robotic Mop
The new CordZeroThinQ Robotic Mop combines LG’s robotics and appliance know-how in a compact package that can take on the most difficult cleaning jobs. Like the CordZeroThinQ A9 featured above, the CordZeroThinQ Robotic Mop also supports multi-cleaning modes. It too sports LG’s proprietary Power Drive Mop technology which is an advanced automatic water supply system that insures its two rotating mop pads always have just the right amount of water to clean without leaving a puddle behind. To accommodate different types of flooring and cleaning power, users can choose to increase, decrease or completely shut off the flow of water.
With its front-mounted Dual Eye camera, the CordZeroThinQ Robotic Mop can accurately detect and recognize its surroundings to avoid collisions with household furniture and pets. By accessing My Zone using the LG ThinQ app, users can designate which specific areas of the house to clean.
Homeowners who also own the CordZero R9 robot vacuum can connect the two units via WiFi to create a comprehensive home cleaning network where once the R9 has completed vacuuming, it notifies CordZeroThinQ Robotic Mop with information on areas of the home that require mopping.
The LG CordZeroThinQ A9 and CordZeroThinQ Robotic Mop will be on display during CES 2020 from January 7-10 in booth #11100, Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Dyson too has a robot vacuum cleaner that can double up with mopping duties and you can read about it here.
