Lenovo, purveyor of many nice gaming laptops, is tipped to launch its first self-branded phone in the new Lenovo Gaming Phone series soon.

The good folks over at XDA Developers have uncovered quite a bit of details, so you might want to hop over to get all the juicy bits — but to summarise, you can expect the phone to come with:

  • FHD+ (2,340 x 1,080) display
  • 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset
  • UFS 3.0 storage, LPDDR5 RAM
  • Dual 64MP + 16MP (wide-angle) rear cameras
  • 20MP selfie camera
  • 90W fast wired charging
  • Dual USB-C ports (one on bottom, one on side)
  • 5,000mAh dual-cell battery design
  • Dual 0.65mm amplitude sound system
  • Lenovo ZUI 12 OS (based on Android 10)

A lot of details about the Lenovo Gaming Phone are still unknown for the moment, including screen size and storage capacity. But based on what’s known so far, the 90W wired charging feature that allows a full charge in just 30 minutes is going to be a headliner. This seems to be achieved by charging the two battery cells at the same time using both USB-C ports (maybe the 90W just means 45W + 45W?).

Also, the display doesn’t look like it has a notch or punch-hole to house the 20MP selfie camera. Instead, the camera seems to be placed on the side and will pop up when you hold the phone in landscape mode.

Finally, since this is a gaming phone, you can expect some gamer-centric aesthetics, a souped-up haptic feedback system for more realistic vibrations and advanced cooling.
