Lenovo Nano mobile desktop launched to appeal to the new workforce

Lenovo mobile desktop launched to appeal to the new workforce

Along with the announcement of the new Lenovo ThinkBooks, the company also launched the ThinkCentre M90n-1 Nano and ThinkCentre M90n-1 Nano IoT.

Employees are demanding more

Called by the company as the ‘most compact commercial desktop series in Singapore’ they are meant to offer Singapore based Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) a solution for those who are looking for a space-saving and energy-efficient ultra-portable desktop.

Quoting a study conducted by Forrester Consulting who surveyed more than 750 SMB employees and device buyers across seven markets in Asia, while employees at SMBs preferred devices that are mobile, flexible, and inclusive, employers are behind in offering these solutions.

Eddie Ang, General Manager at Lenovo Singapore said that this was one possible reason why SMBs had problems retaining staff.

“Customer experience is critically linked to the employee experience – in other words, happier customers come from happier employees,” Ang said, “That means SMBs can gain competitive advantage by ensuring today’s diverse employees can work in a style that suits them best.”

With millennials and Gen Z making up nearly 60% of the workforce today, these technologically savvy employees often expect companies to offer them “go anywhere” PC options. More than a quarter of Asian SMB employees have displayed an interest in exploring more form factors and types of devices such as 2-in-1s and tablets in the workplace.

“However, our new study reveals that while 78% of Asia’s SMBs say they want employee experience to be a high or critical priority, there is still a strong need for them to put more focus on what makes a difference in employees’ working lives: the quality of the technology they use every day,” Ang said.

Going small but powerful

They may be small in form factor, and even called Nano, but they deliver big-business performance with impressive processing power and capabilities.
