Leica and Disney collaborate on limited edition Q2 camera to celebrate Mickey Mouse and Disney's 100th anniversary

If you haven't heard, Disney is in the middle of commemorating its centennial celebration. As the '100 Years of Wonder' festivities proceed, Disney has joined forces with several prominent brands to introduce special commemorative items, the most recent being a collaboration with Leica. The German camera maker has added a unique twist to its popular Q2 model, paying homage to the endearing character who started Disney's journey.

Although Disney's history predates Mickey Mouse's debut in Steamboat Willie in 1928, Leica has chosen to recognise the iconic character in this delightful limited edition release. The design features an unmistakable embossed Mickey Mouse print on the camera's top plate, with the illustrations dating back to 1937, drawn by one of Disney's leading animators at the time, Don Towsley.

Other standout features include Mickey on the display glass. The camera also comes with a matching dustbag, rope strap, and a certificate of authenticity. While the collaboration is in honor of Disney's centennial, the Leica Q2 - Disney “100 Years of Wonder” edition is limited to 500 sets worldwide and will be available at Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and authorised Leica dealers starting 27 April 2023.

The special set will be retailing at 6,200 EUR incl. VAT. While stocks last.
