Leaked: Pictures of Canon’s PowerShot G7X Mark II and SX720 HS
Digicameinfo has just released pictures of the supposed PowerShot G7X Mark II and PowerShot SX720 HS. Neither of these cameras have been announced by Canon as yet, so we’re definitely classifying these as rumors for now.
Based on the images received by a reader, Digecameinfo thinks that the specifications for the PowerShot G7X Mark II shouldn’t be too different from the original, but there’s a new handgrip at the front, and a more angular shape. From the image it seems like the lens will be the same as the original, and the placement of the buttons and dials don’t seem to be changed from before. There also appears to be a small lever by the side of the lens, which may mean a changed front control ring.
Changes are more evident with the supposed PowerShot SX720 HS though. The new model reverts back to the typical, rectangular design. It also appears to have a larger hand grip in the front, with a slightly more streamlined design overall. The new camera appears to have a greater zoom ratio of 40x as opposed to 30x on the original, but the size seems to be roughly the same.
At the moment, that’s all the information that’s been released about these new cameras, but we’ll be sure to bring you updates once we get some.
