Leaked images from Capcom's next Resident Evil game have surfaced

Capcom has recently begun teasing their next Resident Evil game. The game is currently titled ‘Project Resistance’, and will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The teaser website doesn’t offer up much information about the game, other than that we’ll get a trailer right before Tokyo Game Show 2019. The trailer will be released on the official Resident Evil Youtube channel at 11pm, September 9 2019 (Singapore time).

Some impatient fans have already managed to scrounge up high quality screenshots from the game though, by using a Youtube thumbnail grabber website.

It seems to be a co-op game with up to four players, Resident Evil Outbreak-style. To back this up, the Resident Evil Outbreak website is now completely blank. Perhaps we’re looking at a remake of the acclaimed multiplayer PS2 game?

Capcom will also bring the game to Tokyo Game Show, which runs from 12 to 15 September 2019. There will be stage presentations and hands-on demos, so we should get more information on the game then.

Honestly, after the winning streak Capcom has had recently (Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil 2), I trust whatever they have cooking for the Resident Evil franchise is going to be something special. Multiplayer or not!
