If Apple is really launching a new 4-inch iPhone model in 2016, the likely time frame would be April.

According to Chinese site MyDrivers, China Mobile's product roadmap for next year mentions the launch of a new Apple device in April. With most rumors pointing to a release of the new 4-inch model in the first half of 2016, it is likely to be the iPhone 7c (also referred as the iPhone 6c in some reports)

9to5Mac reported earlier this month that Apple is planning an event in March to unveil the Apple Watch 2. An official announcement of the iPhone 7c in March with availability one month later seems plausible. One of the most respected Apple analysts in the market, Ming-Chi Kuo believes the iPhone 7c will be released in early 2016 with an A9 chipset, 2.5D cover glass and Apple Pay.
