Know what dog breed you look like with this Microsoft app

Another app from the Microsoft Garage team that makes use of the company’s Project Oxford technologies is Fetch!, which recognizes dogs and classifies them by their breed based on a picture you provide.

For those not familiar with Project Oxford's APIs, here's an excerpt from a Microsoft blog post posted during last year's Build developer conference:

[Microsoft] released a set of technologies dubbed Project Oxford that allows developers to create smarter apps, which can do things like recognize faces and interpret natural language even if the app developers are not experts in those fields.

An app for dog lovers, Fetch also contains information such as disposition, size, coat, and what types of families are best suited for each breed of dogs.

Even if you don’t have a dog, Fetch can also be a fun app. Microsoft:

Just for fun we include a mode that lets you find out what dog breeds you and your friends are.

At the moment, this app is only available on iOS. If you aren’t using an iPhone, there’s a website you can go to.

Have fun!
