James Bond comes out of retirement in new trailer for No Time to Die

The 25th James Bond film No Time to Die just got a trailer! This will be the last time Daniel Craig suits up as the dashing British spy.

Watch the trailer here:

No Time to Die’s official synopsis reads:

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica.  His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

It appears that after the events of Spectre, Bond went off with Madeleine Swann to live a peaceful life - only for her to betray him (for some reason). Since then, a new agent has stepped into his old role as agent 007, whom he finds himself partnered with on a new mission. There’s a lot going on here - from drama between Bond and his old lover, an uneasy alliance between him and his new replacement and the new villain thrown into the mix - Safin, played by Rami Malek.

The film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who previously directed Jane Eyre, Beasts of No Nation and the entire first season of True Detective. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright all return to round out Daniel Craig’s final Bond outing. Rami Malek, Ana de Armas and Lashana Lynch also join as Safin, Paloma and Nomi, respectively.

No Time to Die will release on April 8, 2020.
